Use It or Lose It?

Are you one of those who believe that you have to “wait” until you can shine.

“I’ll wait until my website is re-done.”

“I’ll wait until I have more customers before I present my new product.”

“When I get a bigger email list then I start a newsletter.”

“I’ll save my best speech for a larger audience.”

Are you afraid to put out quality content on the internet for fear that it will plagiarized or copied?

So many people hold back their potential, waiting to shine until something bigger happens. They hang on to their “good stuff” waiting for better. Remember you can’t hide your light and expect to be seen.  You will never have a larger following with this type of stingy behavior.

You are also stifling your creativity. A profound universal law is reveal by Jesus as he describes three servants whose owner gives them talents before he heads out of town  (a talent is an ancient coin but it ironically translates into the English word “talent” and adds even more punch to this spiritual principle). When the owner returns to collect he discovers that two of the servants went out into the world and doubled their talents.  He was pleased and gave them more.  The last servant proudly steps forth with the same talent that was given him. He announces, “I was afraid (note-you gotta eliminate that fear!) and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours.”

The owner was livid! He took his talent and gave it to the other servant. Jesus completes this story with the revelation of a deep, universal spiritual principle: For to everyone who has more will be given, and he will have abundance: but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away.

Ever wonder how people like Oprah Winfrey, Anthony Robbins, Bob Proctor, and Michael Jackson can have new ideas to implement for decades?  Where do they get all of their ideas?

Have you ever had an idea and then read about it or saw it somewhere out in the marketplace? If you don’t utilize or implement the creativity and knowledge that you have it will move on to the person that will.

Use all of the talents and knowledge that you have right now even though you may be in front of a small crowd; even though you may have a tiny email list; even with a little tribe. Give of your creativity and talent freely. Don’t hold back. Stop saving your “best stuff”.

If you don’t you will lose it.

Thanks. When you look at it like that you have to get out of your fear and move forward!
