My interview with Eddie Brown was fantastic, inspiring and informative!

He talked about the preparation he and his wife made as he went forth to start his own public relations company. I admire this young man who discovered how to take a natural talent and get paid for it!

Be A Toilet Paper Entrepreneur

I just got off the phone with Michael Michalowicz, what a cool guy! You must listen to this interview because he gives some great tips on how to get pass the common “financial issues”, like not having enough money.

If you are still contemplating quitting your job, if you are in the middle of a plan to quit your job or if you are still stuck in a job that you hate, familiarize yourself with The Toliet Paper Entrepreneur. He will give you a different perspective on what you can do and need to do to get it going because he believes, like me, that you should break the rules! And we talk about it in this BlogTalk radio interview.

From Mom to Mompreneur

What a great interview!  Cheryl Wood talked about her journey to becoming a mom entrepreneur and it awas inspiring!

So many women live a similar life of “unconscious” parenting-that is they do what society teaches; if you have a baby you get 6weeks. After 6 weeks baby goes to daycare. Quickly drive to daycare in traffic to pick up yur baby. Feed, bathe, bed, do it again tomorrow.

But sitting in the parking lot her tears woke her up and she became focused on what she wanted for her and her children. She fearlessly pursued it and is now life a fulfilled life running her business while raising her children.

You must listen to this interview!

Here are some quotes that summarizes the points that I made during the interview…just because I love quotes.

You have to DECIDE to make it a new year.

“Time has no divisions to mark its passage, there is never a thunder-storm or blare of trumpets to announce the beginning of a new month or year. Even when a new century begins it is only we mortals who ring bells and fire off pistols.”  Thomas Mann

Make some decisions about what you want to happen.

“We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year’s Day.” Edith Lovejoy Pierce

Decide who you are going to get rid of this year.

“New Year’s Resolution: To tolerate fools more gladly, provided this does not encourage them to take up more of my time.” James Agate

Sit still to listen to God’s voice.

“For last year’s words belong to last year’s language and next year’s words await another voice. T.S. Eliot

Mommy Leadership

Stephanie WilliamsI just finished talking with Stephanie Williams of Mommy Leadership.com. She has written a book that EVERY mother needs to read! It’s called…MOMMY LEADERSHIP, How To Use Your Motherhood Experience to Grow As A Leader!

She takes you through the Mommy Leadership process of helping you identify the skills that you use as a mother and then she helps you to adapt and execute those skills in the workplace or community where you can repeat and perfect them professionally!

What a breath of fresh air! It’s insightful and encouraging!

We talk all about it on my BlogTalk show, For Powerful Women Only. Listen in now!
