So You Hate Your Job…part 3

This is part 3 on the series So You Hate Your Job. This series is NOT about making money online and it’s not about getting rich quick. I’m writing to the mom who, everyday, put her children away while she goes to work for someone else and she HATES it.  Click here if you missed part 1.   Or for part 2.

———————————————————————————————————————————-

If you hate your job and often find yourself daydreaming about working from home?  Here are a few options that you can consider.

  • Negotiate with your boss to telework  (work from home) one day a week. This will require you to think about how your working from home will benefit your company. You will also have to know which of  your tasks can be done away from the office.
  • Find a different job that is a full-time work at home position. This may mean changing career paths altogether.
  • Quit your job and start your own business. This requires quite a bit of planning and preparation.  It also requires assessing your business skills not just your job tasks.  You will need to be quite honest with yourself. Lying to yourself now will only hinder you in the future.
  • Work your job full-time and start your business part-time. This requires quite a bit of discipline and focus. It also helps to be patient with yourself, as you will not move as quickly as other entrepreneurs.

Working from home is do-able. You just need to decide HOW you are going to do it.
